PM Modi has flagged the Vande Bharat train. The tickets for this train’s first trip were booked on Thursday.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off India’s first semi-high speed train ‘Vande Bharat Express’ from New Delhi Railway Station amidst a sophisticated atmosphere in the backdrop of the Pulwama terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir. Tickets have been sold out for the first visit of this train that runs five days a week between Delhi and Varanasi. A railway official has given this information The railway official said that the first business trip of this train will start from February 17. But tickets have already been booked for both of the visits. This booking took place on Thursday morning at 11.25 pm.
Price of the ticket in different category
Varanasi’s AC Chair ticket from Delhi is Rs 1760, whereas in the exclusive category ticket is Rs 3310. Tickets in return will be Rs 1700 and Rs 3260 respectively. Both fares include catering fees. Chair car rental is 1.4 times more than the rent of centenary trains. There are 16 AC coaches in this train, which consists of two executive categories. At the same time, all coaches have automatic doors, GPS based audio-visual passenger information system, hotspot WiFi inside the train and extremely comfortable seats for entertainment purposes. Apart from this, there is a capacity to accommodate a total of 1,128 passengers. Pantry (kitchen) is arranged in every coach. There is a special arrangement to protect heat and sound from coaches for extra comfort.
Railway Minister Piyush Goyal was in the train during the inauguration of the train. He talked to journalists during this time. In the talks, he said that the tendering process for 30 such trains has already started. Goyal said that the train will reduce the travel time between New Delhi-Varanasi from 18 train. The journey will be reduced to 8 hours while other trains take 13 to 14 hours. Tell that the fastest train to Delhi-Varanasi route (776 km) takes 11.5 hours, and according to the railway official, it will take eight hours.
Earlier, PM Modi, while flagging the train, said that I am grateful to the designers and engineers of Vande Bharatiya Express who have left for Varanasi on their first visit. In the last four and a half years, with our honesty and hard work, we have tried to improve the railway.
