An official security guard of a district judge shot at latter’s wife and son in Gurgaon, Haryana on Saturday, the police said.
Additional District Judge Krishan Kant’s wife Ritu (38) and son Dhruv (18) were allegedly shot at by his personal security staff in a crowded market area in Sector 49.
According to DCP-East Sulochna Gajraj, the two were rushed to a hospital. The mother and son are in “critical” condition.
The police said the incident occurred at around 3.30 pm when Ritu and Dhruv had gone shopping in the Arcadia market. They were accompanied by the judge’s guard Mahipal.
“Some locals informed the police about gunshots being fired outside the Arcadia market. When a police team reached the spot, they found Ritu and Dhruv lying in a pool of blood.”
Gajraj said that Ritu suffered bullet injury in her chest, while Dhruv in his head.
“They were taken to the Medanta Hospital where they are understanding treatment but their condition is critical.”
Gajraj further said that the police team could not promptly find Mahipal there.
