A man arrested in Karnataka for a theft case was found to have swallowed gold ornaments weighing 35 gm that he had allegedly stolen from jewellery shops.

The accused admitted that he had swallowed the ornaments along with ice-cream to hide them from the police. The accused reportedly complained of abdominal pain, following which an X-ray scan revealed this.
