New Delhi – Ramon Magsaysay Awardee and senior & popular journalist Ravish Kumar has resigned from NDTV channel. The development came a day after channel’s founder members Prannoy Roy and Radhika Roy resigned as Directors on the board of its parent company RRPR Holding Private Limited.Company said Ravish resignation will be effective immediately.

Making the announcement, the channel in an inhouse circulated mail  said the resignation is effective immediately.

“Few journalists have impacted people as much as Ravish. This reflects in the immense feedback about him: in the ‘crowds he draws everywhere; in the prestigious awards and recognition he has received, within India and internationally,” read the mail.

“Ravish has been an integral part of NDTV for decades: his contribution has been immense, and we know he will be successful as he embarks on a new beginning,” the mail read.

All these moves have came after the NDTV promoter RRPR Holdings shifted its shares constituting 99 percent of its equity capital to Adnani’s Vishwapradhan Commercial.

Ravish Kumar as Senior Executive Editor of NDTV India has quit and he used to host programmes ‘Ravish Ki Report’ , ‘Des ki Baat’ and ‘Prime Time’. His programmes were much popular among viewers and his style of presenting programme was noticeable. Ravish is well known for his ground breaking reports and talking about issues of public interests.
