Toronto: A man in his 20s was shot dead in a shooting outside a community centre in North York on Monday.
Just after 8 pm, the sounds of gunshots were heard.
Emergency responders were called to Forest Manor Road near Parkway Forest Drive in the Don Mills Road and Sheppard Avenue East area.
Toronto Police spokesperson Gary Long said that the victim was found outside Parkway Forest Community Centre with what appeared to be gunshot wounds.
Paramedics affirmed that the man was without vital signs and died on the spot.
The homicide unit is interrogating the scene but has not released any information about the suspect yet.
Investigating authorities are asking people having information or video of the incident to call 416-808-3300 or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
