Being a nutritionist and health practitioner, Millet Girl Shreya strongly believes in Millet Kranti and is an admirer of the International Year of Millets 2023 being celebrated by 70 countries worldwide . Shreya said it’s time for Millet Kranti after Green Revolution in 1960 and white revolution in 1970. She said that its time for Millet revolution , there are two important aspects to millet revolution. One is depleting water level and less fertile soil due to contemporary farming cycles of wheat and rice . She further said that she has been dealing with ‘Non Communicable’ diseases and  Millets as staple food are strongly recommended in these situations.

The highlights of the memodrandum submitted  to CM Haryana include
that there is only one Millets research institute situated at Hyderabad in India and a similar institute will prove a boon to Haryana farmers growing millets.

It further said that as a responsible organisation , they at Aharika could offer services to stare government for promoting Millets farming and consumption of millets by people at large.

The memorandum said that they have put forward a request  that Government of Haryana should begin a research Centre for millets. Aharika would like to be part of the Public- Private Partnership model and would be offering our services for the welfare of mankind.

It is said n the memorandum that ‘Aharika’ the NGO is already producing various products of millets and are in process for patenting of our millet products and for farmers’encouragement would be happy to buy back all the crops of millets in Haryana at MSP as decided by Haryana Agriculture Ministry.
