We have officially entered the festive season of this year. This is the time, we wait for the entire year and undeniably these few months of festivities make everything a little more bearable for us. Today, the festival of Navratri begins which is the first festival that marks the beginning of the festive season. It’s the festival where good triumphs bad and honesty over evil.
The first day of Navratri is today and we certainly can’t keep calm. From the delicacies and poojas to raas garba and gatherings, the festival is so much fun and is also one of the most auspicious festivals as per the Hindu calendar. The Sharada Navratri honours the Godess Durga. The festival commemorates Goddess Durga’s battle over the asura after which she restores the faith in Dharma.
Apart from the pooja and fasting, the festival is also celebrated by reading the holy scriptures, reciting the legend and enacting the story. While we eagerly wait for the celebrations to begin, no festival can be celebrated without our family and friends.
