Facebook Company had said after the death of 50 people in a terrorist attack on the New Zealand mosque, they are preparing to ban the user who will go live on this platform. The company is going to tighten the rules regarding the use of the Facebook Live Streaming service. However, certain criteria will be kept for this.

Facebook’s Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandburg said in a blog post that the company will monitor on the basis of Community Guidelines, who can go live on Facebook. Sandburg wrote in the blog that after the incident questions were raised how to use online media like Facebook to circular such a horrible video.


He also said that Facebook is considering ban such users. This is the reason that many changes are being made on Facebook to prevent cases like this. In Australia and New Zealand, the company is also using IAI technology to identify terror groups and trying to remove them from Facebook.

Such groups will not be able to use Facebook services. The company has asked to take three types of steps. First- Strict the rules of Facebook Live; Second- Preventing the spread of terror and third- New Zealand community support.

Prevent edited versions from sharing or re-posting

Facebook COO wrote in his blog that the company is considering banning people who have previously violated the rules in Facebook Live. Facebook is also looking for technology through improvement of software that allows the edited version of violent video and photographs to be immediately detected and prevented from sharing or re-posting.
