Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan has broken the world record for scoring the most runs in T20I cricket in a year.

With his 46(36) against West Indies on Saturday, Rizwan reached 752 runs in 2021. The previous world record for most T20I runs in a calendar year was 748 runs scored by Ireland’s Paul Stirling in 2019.
