Delhi – The petition filed seeking Special Investigation Team probe has come for mentioning in Supreme Court today.

The petition has been listed in urgent category before the vacation bench comprising Justices CT Ravikumar and Sudhanshu Dhulia. The petition Advocate Vishal Tiwari said that violent protests are going on in the country against the scheme.

Taking notice of the plea , Justice Ravikumar told Tiwari the matter must be placed before Chief Justice of India. There is a circular and only thereafter , he will have to take a call, Justice Ravikumar said.

According to information , the Public Interest Litigation also seeks the setting up of an expert committee headed by a retired Supreme Court Judge to examine Agnipath Recruitment scheme to find out its logical sides.

On the other hand , two more petitions have been filed in Supreme Court Challenging the Agnipath scheme and seeking a stay on the notification issued by Ministry of Defense in this regard.
