Buenos Aires: Calling the India-Japan-US partnership as a victory or ‘JAI’, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the partnership among the three nations would go a long way in ensuring world peace and prosperity.
After the first-ever trilateral meet with Japanese PM Shinzo Abe and US President Donald Trump on the sidelines of the G-20 summit in Buenos Aires, PM Modi said, “If I put it in another way, Japan, America, and India is JAI. In Hindi, ‘JAI’ means success.”
Also, PM Modi added, “In a way, JAI (the trilateral meet) is a message of success and we are making a new beginning.”
Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale, briefing the media about the meeting said that feeling the necessity, PM Modi reached out to all the stakeholders of the three nations to explain the benefits of Indo-Pacific approach and their advantages to these nations.
Prior to making an intervention at the first session of the G-20 meet on women’s empowerment, future of work and global economy, PM Modi emphasized his government’s flagship programmes undertaken to promote inclusive growth and modernize economies, such as Start-up India, Jan Dhan Yojana, and MUDRA Yojana.
