On his second visit to South Korea at the invitation of President Moon Jae-in, is a two-day visit to strengthen India’s strategic ties with South Korea.
Before leaving for Seoul, PM Modi took his twitter handle to share this news and wrote” This evening, I will be leaving for the Republic of Korea at the invitation of President @moonriver365.
We regard the Republic of Korea as a valued friend with which we have a Special Strategic Partnership.
The visit will boost bilateral cooperation”.

Along with this tweet, the Indian Foreign Ministry said “The visit will strengthen our special strategic partnership with South Korea and add dynamism to our Look East Policy”.
Clearly even before his visit, PM of India was all set to bring some more business home.
During this visit, PM unveiled a bust of Mahatma Gandhi at Seoul’s Yonsei University.
Talking about the recent terrorism and climate change issues Modi also said Mahatma Gandhi’s values and teachings can help the world to address both the pressing issues.
This is his second summit meeting with President Moon Jae-in and second visit to South Korea, since 2015.
