New Delhi – The National Minority Commission Iqbal Singh Lalpura sends legal notice to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann after a post on Aam Aadmi Party facebook page in which his photo was featured with caption ‘The most corrupt persons of Punjab. This point is also mentioned in the copy legal notice.
Although, the post has been pulled down from the party’s facebook page but the advocate of Lalpura in the notice said the facebook post was up on the page for some hours and his client’s image was hurt as the post was widely posted on the social media platforms during those hours.
It is said in the legal notice that Lalpura is a former IPS officer who has served as SSP Amritsar, SSP Tarantarn and Additional Inspector General CID Amritsar. He , in his publuc life since 1972 has had unblemished , meritorious and distinguished police service record and President Award. Such post with unverified facts has hurt the image of Lalpura, the notice said.
The notice further sought an unconditional public apology for publishing post and to pay Rs 55, 500 for legal notice charges.
