Anupam Kher is currently stationed in the USA for the extensive shoot schedule of his highly-anticipated NBC’s series, ‘New Amsterdam’. During the same, he received an invite from the authorities of United Nations Headquarters to hoist the Indian National flag as the Chief Guest on the eve of India’s Independence Day.
Knowing the generous nature of the veteran Bollywood star, he gladly obliged. In fact, he even posted videos and images from the Independence Day celebration including the flag hoisting moment. Posting one of the videos, he also wrote an emotional caption saying, “#IndiaDayParade at #NewJersey today was a very emotional and a memorable day for me. It was the most amazing feeling to see tricolour flying high. Thousands of fellow Indians came on the streets to celebrate what it means to be an Indian.
