CHANDIGARH, Captain Amarinder Singh led condolence resolution on the sad demise of Padma Shri and legendary Punjabi litterateur Dr. Dalip Kaur Tiwana, who breathed her last on Friday evening after a brief illness at Mohali. Expressing condolences on the passing away of an eminent Punjabi author, academician and Ex President of Punjabi Sahit Akademi Dr. Dalip Kaur Tiwana.

The Cabinet described her as an embodiment of Punjab, Punjabi and Punjabiat, who made immense contribution for the promotion of Punjabi language, art and literature through her prolific writings, which would ever remain a source of inspiration for budding writers and millions of her readers. Remembering Dr. Tiwana for her remarkable services rendered towards Punjabi language, the Cabinet noted that with her death a void had been created in the literary circles, which was difficult to be filled.
