The Punjab government on Tuesday allowed only green firecrackers on Diwali and Gurupurab for two hours. Bursting green crackers is allowed on Diwali from 8-10 pm and on Gurupurab from 9-10 pm and from 4-5 am.

On Christmas Eve (December 25-26) and New Year’s Eve (December 31-January 1), green firecrackers are allowed from 11:55 pm-12:30 am.
