Chandigarh, October 15 – Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker S. Kultar Singh Sandhwan exercised his democratic right by casting his vote in the Panchayat elections. Accompanied by his family, Speaker voted at booth number 95 in his native village Sandhwan.

Emphasizing the significance of grassroots democracy, Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan encouraged citizens to participate actively in the electoral process, adding that “Panchayat elections are crucial for local development and community empowerment.”

Notably, Speaker Sandhwan’s own political career began with panchayat elections, reflecting his commitment to local governance and community development. This grassroots approach has been instrumental in shaping his governance philosophy.

Speaker further added that Panchayat elections are the foundation of India’s democratic system and its immense pride for him to have started political journey from here.
