Music director Sulaiman Merchant, a friend of actress Mandira Bedi and her late director-husband Raj Kaushal, told , “Raj told Mandira that he was getting a heart attack.”

He added, “Mandira acted swiftly and called Ashish Chowdhry…they took him to the hospital…but in the next 5-10 minutes…they realised that he had no pulse.” Raj Kaushal, 49, passed away on Wednesday.
