A Federal judge says White House must immediately reissue Jim Acosta’s press pass.
The decision came Friday morning and it was the first court ruling in the CNN’s lawsuit against President Donald Trump and others in his White House.
The judge decision didn’t touch on the First Amendment issue raised in the case.
Rather Acosta’s getting his press pass back because of the due process claim.
But the judge ruling allows White House to revoke Acosta’s credentials again if the officials provide proper notice and due process.
However, the case isn’t over yet as the judge ruling is preliminary, there will be more hearings to hit hard at the case which is the protections of First Amendment Rights.
After Judge’s ruling, Jim said, “I want to thank all of my colleagues in the press who supported us this week, and I want to thank the judge for the decision he made today and ‘let’s go back to work’.”
