Canada – Internet and Cellular services provider company Rogers faced outrage on Friday as the services are impacted for hours.

According to reports the company did not acknowlege the issue in early hours of the halted services. The outrage became loud as the company (Rogers) could not tell customers when the internet and cellular services could be resumed again.

Netblocks account on Twitter says, ” A major internet outrage is registered accross Canada, the real-time network data show national connectivity down to 75 percent down to ordinary levels, incident impacts network operator Rogers and other ISPs with telephony and emergency calls reported unavailable by many”.

The internet services breakdown across Canada has hit banks , police and many other sectors and it is considered the second major outage to hit one of the biggest networks in the last some 15 months.

Rogers company issued a statement on this disruption and said “We are currently experiencing an outage across our wireline and wireless networks and our technical teams are working hard to restore services as quickly as possible”.

The outage which appears quite bigger than the last year that majorly affected consumers, comes at the time when Rogers is trying to take over rival Shaw communications in a deal of 20 billion Canadian dollars.
