Chandigarh, April 9:

The Social Justice, Empowerment, Minorities and Forest Minister, S. Sadhu Singh Dharamsot today unveiled the autobiography titled ‘Sangharsh De 45 Saal’ of Chairman Punjab State Industrial Development Corporation Krishan Kumar Bawa.

          In an impressive function at Punjab Bhawan, while releasing the book, S. Dharamsot recalled his 35 years’ long association with the author when they worked together in the youth congress. “From taking up cudgels against terrorism during the dark decade of turmoil, the life of Krishan Kumar Bawa is an open book”, said the minister adding the readers would get to know every facet of the eventful life of the author through the book which has chronicled the struggles Bawa had to face during his long life journey. The minister described Krishan Kumar Bawa as ‘Zinda Shaheed’ who took bullets for defending the honour of the nation.

          On the occasion, Krishan Kumar Bawa said that he has disclosed every aspect of his life in the book. He recalled the astonishment of the people when he started the trend of celebrating ‘Dheeyan Di Lohri’ but he feels elated when such an event is organized now and he is invited as special guest. Divulging more, he said that he got the proud opportunity to guide common masses about the great Sikh warrior Baba Banda Singh Ji Bahadur and also celebrated the birth anniversary of Pandit Shardha Ram Phillauri.

          Speaking on the occasion, Principal Kuldeep Singh, Ex MLA Harjinder Singh Thekedar, Harinder Singh Hans, Umrao Singh Chhina, Eminent theatre personality Dr. Nirmal Jaura also lauded the services rendered by the author in social and political spheres besides his valuable contributions in preserving the cultural heritage of Punjab.

          Among others present on the occasion included Harinder Singh Hans, Parminderjit Singh Cheema, Arjan Bawa, Manoj Soami, Sanjiv Bhawri, Surinder Bairagi, Vikram Singh, Anil Verma, Boota Singh Bairagi and Pawan Garg.
