Ex-Congress veteran leader and proved mastermind in Sikh genocide of 1984 at Delhi, Sajjan Kumar who was declared guilty by the Delhi High court, today has asked 30 days to surrender before the law.
The court will be hearing the application forwarded by Sikh butcher, on 21st December.
Confirming this new turn of events, senior lawyer of Sikh victims in the cases of Genocide, HS Phoolka said, ” We are going to oppose this application quite naturally, Sajjan Kumar has asked for one month to surrender himself from the court.”
Previously Kumar was acquitted in the case of killing Sikhs by a lower court, but it recently has cancelled the orders passed by the lower court, Justice Vinod Goel and S Muralidhar, found Sajjan guilty.
The court in the historic statement said, “It is important to assure the victims that despite the challenges truth will prevail.”
Sajjan Kumar is the same person whose name comes out every time the Sikh genocide of 1984 is mentioned.
He along with Jagdish Titlerise the prime leader of Congress who were leading and directing mob into killing Sikhs on the streets of Delhi after ex-PM Indira Gandhi was killed by her gunmen.
