Singing competition of this series from 20th July 2020
Chandigarh, July 19: The Punjab school education department is organising online educational competitions dedicated to the 400th Parkash Purb of Guru Tegh Bahadur. In the part of this series of events second round competitions will start from July 20th 2020.

Under the guidance of Education Minister Mr. Vijay Inder Singla and in the supervision of Secretary, School Education Mr. Krishan Kumar, the series of competitions started with the ‘Shabad Gayan’ competition. In this competition, 20410 students of secondary, middle and primary classes of government schools took part and they enthusiastically sang the hymns of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji and expressed their devotion to Guru Sahib.

According to a spokesperson of the education department, the school level singing competition is being organized by the State Council for Education, Training and Research and contestants participating in this competition will be able to upload (for general public) videos of their performances on various social media from 20 to 24 July at 24.00. Competitors in all categories can present their claim by singing in 3 to 5 minutes. The songs will be performed based on the teachings, life, principles, and sacrifice of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. On July 25, the concerned school head and teachers will fill the links of the videos of the winners of different schools and the details of the remaining contestants in the Google form. The technical team of the department will provide this form. Then the process of results at block, district and state level will begin. The singing competition is likely to get a great response from the students, like ‘Shabd gayan’.
