Demand for issuance of advertisements to fill the vacancies of Lecturers / Teachers

CHANDIGARH: Democratic Teachers Front (DTF) Punjab has decided to consider teaching of social sciences in recruitment of lecturers of all subjects of social studies and remove the unreasonable requirement of 55% from post graduation for recruitment of lecturers in all subjects to 50% for general category. And after raising the demand for 45% for the reserve category through the media, after meeting the DPI (Sec.) Mr. Sukhjit Pal Singh and submitting a demand letter in this regard, the Education Department finally asked the Teaching of Social Sciences for the recruitment of Economics Lecturer. Amendment letter has been issued to remove the condition of 55% from post graduation to 50% for eligibility and reserve category only.

Democratic Teachers Front (DTF) state president Vikram Dev Singh, general secretary Mukesh Gujarati, finance secretary Ashwani Awasthi and vice president Raghveer Singh Bhavanigarh said that the education department has removed the 55% requirement from post graduation and 50% only candidates in the reserve category. While for the general category, the department has maintained the condition of 55%, which is a shock to the general category candidates.

He strongly demanded from the Punjab Government and the Education Department to abolish the unreasonable requirement of 55% from post graduation for the recruitment of all subjects for the general category unemployed as well and issue 50% research paper for general category and 45% for reserve category. Advertisements should be issued to fill all the vacancies in various large numbers including lecturers / teachers in government schools of Punjab. He also specially thanked the Punjabi Jagran for raising the issue of unemployment in a positive manner and the Education Department had to take action.
