Sporting apparel giants Nike launched Indian team’s new jersey for 2019 World Cup.
In the presence of current captain of the team Virat Kohli , Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah, batsman KL Rahul, young turk Prithvi Shaw and Indian women’s T20I captain Harmanpreet Kaur, the former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni handed over the legacy to future generations.
Ahead of the 2019 World Cup, new jersey of Indian Cricket team comes with remarkable facts engraved on it.
Talking about the interesting facts on the jersey KL Rahul said,”This is our new jersey which we will be sporting during the ODI series. It helps to be agile on the field. One interesting fact that the jersey also has is, along with all the colors, the dates when we won the first World Cup, the T20 World Cup and our second 50-over format World Cup winning date in Mumbai.”
Nike said that the design of the new jersey pays tribute to the world champion Indian sides of the past.
Regarding the new kits, the BCCI also uploaded an image on social media and their post read: “The new kits have arrived! As the Men in Blue put on the revamped jerseys for the first time, we take you behind the scenes to know what’s changed.”

Inspired by the design of new jersey Virat Kohli said, “Over the years, our cricket has evolved – the way we approach games and embrace situations are different but what stands out is the confidence in our individual skills and our commitment to succeed as a team.
