Companies often spend several million to make their products good and pursuer business, Apple is no different.
Reportedly, Apple is going to spend Rs 60 crore on water.
Apple has two centers in the Prineville area of Oregon that requires an enormous amount of water.
The reason for such investment from Cupertino-based tech giant is to cool down its data centers.
Apple has preferred this place because of the inexpensive land, tax benefits and also, the area has a cool desert climate.
In 2016, Apple has consumed nearly 28 million gallons of water.
Apple’s Vice President of environmental initiatives Lisa Jackson said, “Prineville water system project will support our center’s water need and allows us to have a constructive impact on the sustainability of Prineville’s water system for the years ahead.”
Increasing the availability of clean, sustainable water as the community prepares for the impacts of climate change, added Jackson.
The water storage facility is anticipated to be ready by 2021.
It has also been reported that because of its low sales in India, the company is facing a lot of pressure.
Indian government officials are likely to meet the company’s executives in January 2019 in Davos.
