Singapore government issued a statement in response to Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal’s warning that “a new form of coronavirus”, which is dangerous for children, may come as third wave in India.

The ministry said there is no “Singapore variant”. It added, “The strain…prevalent in many of the COVID-19 cases in recent weeks is the B. 1.617.2 variant, which originated in India.”
