HOUSTON: In the recognition of a gift, a building will be renamed at the University of Houston after an Indian-American couple, the varsity said.
The contribution will offer ongoing support for students, research and faculty.
Indian- American president of the university, Renu Khator, said that the Engineering Research Building in the university will be renamed after Shushila Agrawal and Durga D, who made a considerable donation to the institution.
The couple already had a floor in the $51 million building named after them, which opened in 2017.
Agrawal said, “My message to the students is to always be optimistic; one can achieve any goal with hard work, persistence and determination.”
