Delhi – Delhi Disaster management Department has issued a notice on Wednesday making facemasks mandatory once again viewing increase in the number of Corona cases in last some days.

While getting information through sources, it is said the penalty of Rs. 500 will have to be paid in case of neglience on  not wearing facemask. On the other hand, DDMA has decided to keep the schools open.

It is pertinent to say, the DDMA  had withdrawn the earlier decision of imposing Rs 500 fine on not wearing mask in a meeting held on March 30.

In an information , DDMA will be keeping close watch on social gatherings , crowdy places, social and cultural gatherings. The members have suggested aggressive testings and stress on wider coverage of vaccination among the eligible age groups. DDMA will be issuing a detailed and proper notification on this probably by evening.

According to the health bulletin issued by the government yesterday, there were total of 1947 active cases in Delhi. The experts are of the view that the relaxation given for not wearing facemasks has led to surge in Corona cases but they maintain that the situation is under control.
