Gippy Grewal, Binnu Dhillon and Sapna Pabbi starrer ‘Mar Gaye Oye Loko’ is set to release on 31st August 2018. Yesterday the cast came to the capital for the promotion of the same and sat for an exclusive tête-à-tête with TimesofIndia.com. During the candid chat, the lead stars Gippy Grewal and Binnu Dhillon spoke about a couple of interesting facts related to the movie. Run down to have a look: by Neha Vashist

Binnu Dhillon plays the central character of Gill Bhai in the movie ‘Mar Gaye Oye Loko’. His role has a negative shade to it as he plays the don. As the story unfolds, before Binnu is shot, he plays himself, and once dead on the screen his body is taken by the soul of Gippy Grewal and Karamjit Anmol. In short, Binnu plays three different characters in the movie. Initially, Gippy Grewal wrote this role for himself and was looking for an actor who could play the second lead. However, he couldn’t find anyone to fit into the role of Titu (second lead). Gippy said, “Honestly, I wrote the character of Gill Bhai for myself, but since I couldn’t find anyone perfect enough to match Titu, I thought I will take the second lead and let’s hunt for the main man. After myself, Binnu was my instant choice for Gill Bhai.”

Everytime Jaswinder Bhalla makes a cinematic appearance, he brings something new on the table. This time he is bringing on the screen the character of Karamraj. For his look, Gippy Grewal wanted a different style of turban and something that hasn’t been seen earlier. Thus, the makers took inspiration from Air India’s mascot for finalising the look of Jaswinder Bhalla as Karamraj. “I was recently travelling via Air India and I saw the picture of the mascot. I instantly clicked the image and sent it to Jaswinder Bhalla quoting “Selfie with Karamraj””, said Gippy cracking into a laugh.
