In a press conference held at Shiromani Akali Dal’s Chandigarh office, today the official spokesperson of Daljit Singh and Central Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal thanked Modi government for its role in the conviction sentence of Congress’ leader Sajjan Kumar.
Sajjan Kumar, earlier today has been sentenced life imprisonment by High Court of Delhi, for playing an important part in Sikh killings of Sikh Genocide of 1984.
Declaring it a judicial victory today, SAD spokesperson, Daljit Singh Cheema, claimed that this ruling will help to restore the faith of Indian judicial system into the hearts of the Sikh community.
“It was not just Sajjan Kumar, who was convicted and found guilty today, but the Indian National Congress (INC) too,” said Cheema.
Cheema also suggested that the Election Commission of India should scrap this party, he proposed that there is no place for a party like this in this country.
On the other hand, Central Minister Mrs Badal claimed that BJP and SAD fought profoundly for the justice of Sikhs, Nanavati Commission, which proved to be vital in this case, was set up by Vajpayee government.
“The court has cleared today that Congress is the reason behind this delayed justice, today Gandhi family has a lot to answer about,” said, Harsimrat.
Speaking his piece, Bikram Singh Majithia, in a hopeful voice hoped, “This is just a beginning, Jagdish Titler and Kamal Nath will meet the same fate very soon.”
