Disclosing this, an official spokesman of the government of Punjab informed that out of the total purchase from various procurement centres in the State, the government agencies procured 16158803 MT of paddy while 115261 MT has been procured by the millers.
PUNGRAIN has procured 6707105 tonnes, MARKFED 4143122 tonnes and PUNSUP procured 3306663 tonnes while Punjab State Warehousing Corporation procured 1780741 MT paddy. The Centre government agency FCI has procured 221172 MT paddy.
As per 72 hours lifting norms, lifting of 16158803 MT paddy has been accomplished across the state, he informed.
