Newsdesk – Candian Prime Minister has initiated a proposal of ‘National freeze’ on handgun sales. He said the ban will apply to buying , selling , tranfering or importing the handguns.
Trudeau’s announcement came out in a news conference at Ottawa. Responding to an increase in homicides in his country and indicating various such shooting incidents in the neighbouring country. He said they donot want the gun debate to get polarized and then nithing can be done. He said he cannot allow thing to happen in his country.
He said the government will also requires ling gun magazines to be permabently altered so they cannot hold mire than five rounds and would also ban the sale and transfer of large gun magazines.
Trudeau said there is no reason anyone in Canada should need guns in everyday life other than using firearms for sports , shooting and hunting.
