Chandigarh – Sangrur bypoll election for Parliamentary seat become challenging battle for Aam Aadmi Party after the resounding victory in State Assembly election held just three months ago.

Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar candidate Simranjit Singh Mann has wins the Sangrur bypoll by the margin of 5822 votes where as Gurmail Singh, who was Sarpanch of the village Satot was fielded by Aam Aadmi Party as candidate remained at number 2.

The ratio of vote cast by people of Sangrur slipped down to 45.3 percent where it is considered 27.1 percent down from the total vote polled in 2019.
