Newsdesk – Canada and India has agreed to an expanded air transportation agreement that would be allowing designated airlines to ferry passengers offering unlimited number of flights between the two countries.
Transport Canada said ,”The move will allow air carriers to better respond to the needs of Canada India air transport market.” Under the previous aggrement each country was limited to 35 passenger flights per week. Rights for all cargo flights will remain unrestricted.
The government says the move will allow airlines of Canada and India to better respond to the needs of the Canada-India market , which is India’s fourth largest international air transport market.
The agreement gives Canadian air carriers access to Delhi, Kolkata , Mumbai, Hyderabad, Mumbai , Banglore, Chennai and Indian carrier access to Edmonton, Vancouver and two additional points to be selected by India.
Additional capacity will strengthen travel and business ties. Canadian, from visiting friends and families to getting goods to markets around the world, rely on aviation industry to provide them with diverse international air service.
The Minister of Transport , Omar Alghabra announced the recent conclusion of an expanded air traffic is a positive move to develop air transportation relations between two countries.
