The Government agencies and private Traders have procured 342312 metric tonnes of wheat in Punjab on fifth day of precourment.

Disclosing this here today, an official Spokesperson said that out of the total procurement from various procurement centres in the State, the Government agencies procured 341575 MT of wheat 737 MT has been procured by the private traders(arhtias).

He further said that PUNGRAIN has procured 69729 metric tonnes, MARKFED 95726 metric tonnes and PUNSUP procured 73465 metric tonnes while Punjab State Warehousing Corporation 47537 MT wheat respectively. The Centre government agancy FCI has procured 28932 MT wheat.Apart from this Pungrain Procured 26186 MT wheat for public distribution in the Punjab.
