Chandigarh, May 6: The Government agencies and private Traders have procured 4,14,132 metric tonnes of wheat in Punjab on 22nd day of procurement.
Disclosing this here today, an official Spokesperson said that out of the total 4,14,132 procurement from various procurement centres in the State, the Government agencies procured 412628 MT of wheat 1504 MT has been procured by the private traders (arhtyias).
He further said that PUNGRAIN has procured 96251 metric tonnes, MARKFED 85841 metric tonnes and PUNSUP procured 82120 metric tonnes while Punjab State Warehousing Corporation 72289 MT wheat respectively. The Centre government agancy FCI has procured 52298 MT wheat. Apart from this Pungrain Procured 23829 MT wheat for public distribution in the Punjab.
Progressive procurement by all the procuring agency is 10460699 MT.
