The Uttar Pradesh government will take care of the upbringing of the newborn girl found in a wooden box floating in river Ganga in Ghazipur, CM Yogi Adityanath tweeted.

The boatman who rescued the girl will also be rewarded, the CM added. The girl was wrapped in a piece of cloth with a note declaring her as ‘daughter of Ganga’.
