INDIANA – Drugs worth $5 million have been seized by an Indiana State Police trooper during a routine inspection of DOT (Department of Transportation) on Tuesday.
According to the Indiana State Police, around 10:30 am, the trooper stopped the semi at the scales and got dubious while conversing with the driver.
The trooper searched the trailer after receiving consent and found cocaine weighing 220 pounds and methamphetamine weighing 65 pounds.
The trailer was travelling to Ohio from California and was loaded with aluminium crates.
The estimated street value is nearly $5 million and was found inside the travel bags.
22-year old Ravinder Singh Kaler was driving the semi has been arrested and charged with possession of narcotics and trading narcotics.
