“Kattar Imaandaar” party getting exposed everyday on corruption
Chandigarh – Senior congress leader & Punjab’s leader of the opposition (LoP), Partap Singh Bajwa on Friday said the self styled “Kattar Imaandaar” Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was being exposed to corruption everyday not only in Delhi & Punjab but also in the poll bound Gujarat state.
AAP’s Delhi MLA from model town, Akhliesh Pati Tripathi and another MLA , Rajesh Gupta from Wazirpur, both were in dock after being summoned by the Anti Corruption Branch (ACB) yesterday.
The ACB have arrested three workers of the AAP and close associates of the aforesaid Delhi legislators for taking Rs. 90 lakh as bribe money from Gopal Khari a businessman who was promised Municipal Corporation Delhi (MCD) ticket from Kamla Nagar (ward No 69) for his wife Shobha Khari.
However when Shobha’s name did not appear in the final list of the candidates released on November 12 the MLAs and their close associates were asked to return the money. The ACB officials disclosed that while Rs. 35 Lakh was paid to MLA Tripathi, Rs. 20 Lakh was handed over to MLA Rajesh Gupta.
The ACB on the intervening night of last Tuesday & Wednesday caught all three red handed associated with the aforesaid MLAs when they had gone to return the money to Gopal Khari at his residence.
Bajwa said Delhi chief minister and AAP’s national convenor has taken no action against his MLAs so far for such an act of corruption.
Similarly, Kejriwal’s most favourite cabinet minister Satyndra Jain’s bail was also rejected by the court on Thursday who was in prison in a corruption case. Instead of taking action against him, Kejriwal dubbed him modern day martyr Bhagat Singh.
Similarly AAP’s candidate from Surat Assembly seat Kanchan Jariwala has leveled serious charges of corruption against the senior leadership of the party including Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia.
Jariwala said he was asked to shell out Rs. 80 Lakh to Rs. one crore for the state assembly poll. Since he did not have that much money he decided to return the ticket and even said AAP was a B team of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
In Punjab also the AAP stood exposed to corruption everyday as there was a huge difference between what the party talked and how it walked.
Bajwa said till date chief minister Bhagwant Mann who also held the post of AAP’s Punjab president failed to take appropriate action against his own cabinet minister Fauja Singh Sarari whose audio clip on corruption went viral more than a month earlier.
