Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani said on Sunday while addressing a virtual cabinet meeting that the country’s situation will change in the next six months.

He added that the Taliban had become “more cruel and more oppressive” in the last two decades.

“We want peace but [Taliban wants] surrender…They’ll not engage in meaningful negotiations unless the situation changes,” he further said.
