Ottawa: After two aircrafts crashed mid-air over the Ottawa’s west end on Sunday, one person is reportedly dead.
The collision led to one of the aircraft crashing in a nearby field, said the police.
According to police, the aircraft collided into a field near McGee Side Road just east of the 417 in Carp in rural west Ottawa.
While the other aircraft sustained only minor damages, was redirected to the Ottawa International Airport, where it landed safely.
The Transportation Safety Board of Canada is investigating and the paramedics are on the scene.
Police say that it is still not known what types of aircraft were involved and the how the collision took place.
In not less than a month, this is the second collision in the Carp area.
An ultra-light plane crashed on a road in mid-October, leaving the pilot seriously injured and closely missing a house.
