-Animal Husbandry Minister calls veterinarians to perform their duties as supreme religion
Chandigarh, April 24: The Punjab Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Fisheries Minister Mr. Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa today congratulated all the veterinarians on the World Veterinary Day. In a press statement issued here today Mr. Bajwa said that the vets play a major role in improving the livelihood of farmers through animal husbandry by this way they contributes a lot to the development of the state.

The Animal Husbandry Minister said that in an agrarian state like Punjab where animal husbandry has been adopted by a large number of people as an ancillary occupation, the Animal Husbandry Department especially the veterinary doctors and inspectors have a huge responsibility to keep the animals healthy as only healthy animals can give more income. He said that it was a matter of great satisfaction and happiness that the Animal Husbandry Department of the state was working diligently for the betterment of the breed and better treatment of the animals.

Encouraging all the officers and employees of the Animal Husbandry Department, Mr. Bajwa said that besides performing their duty, they were also doing a great deed by treating the dumb animals.

The Animal Husbandry Minister said that the dedication with which the officers and staff of the Animal Husbandry Department were visiting the homes of the cattle breeders to treat the animals during the pandemic caused by the Corona virus was no less than taking part in a war itself. The Minister also assured the livestock farmers that they would not have to face any problem regarding the health of the animals.
Mr. Bajwa said that today on the occasion of World Veterinary Day we all need to pledge to ourselves that we would treat animals as our supreme religion.
