Chandigarh – The Art and Contemporary Festival is being organized by Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan and Infosys Foundation at Bhavan Vidyalaya, Sector-27. Program started from 9th December which will continue till 15th December. During this, well-known artists of the city are presenting their artworks daily. Music programs are also being organized during this time.
On Sunday, well-known music player of the city Subhash Ghosh gave an excellent presentation of classical music. The tinkling of his classical instruments enthralled the entire theater. Subhash Ghosh started the program with Raag Alap. He then presented Jod Aalap, Raag Bhageshwari. Ghosh has presented at many national and international levels. He has also shown his art in many programs organized by the Chandigarh Administration.
Moreover , the city’s famous singer Rajwinder Kaur also performed on the occasion. She gave a beautiful rendition of Gurmat Sangeet and Hindustani Classical Music. The audience appreciated the performance of both these artists. Rajwinder Kaur has presented her art samples in many countries of the world. She has also worked with famous Bollywood singers Alka Yagnik and Udit Narayan.
Programs to be held On Monday, the fourth day of the festival are , the plays Romeo Juliet and Seven Masquerades directed by Sukhmani Kohli, daughter of famous theater artist GS Channi, will be staged. Apart from this, there will be a live performance by singer Hardeep Kainth.
