Now, in an attempt to divert attention from the debacle in assembly elections, AAP is rejoicing unabashedly in being a ‘National Party.

Chandigarh – Calling Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann a hollow politician, Senior Congress Leader and Punjab’s Leader of Opposition, Partap Singh Bajwa on Sunday said it is so irresponsible of Mann to compare Aam Aadmi Party’s humiliating defeat in Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat assembly elections with internationally acclaimed batsman Virat Kohli’s performance in cricket.

Bajwa was referring to CM Mann’s address at an event organised by a private news channel in which Mann said that even Virat Kohli doesn’t score a century on daily basis.

“Virat Kohli is one of the greatest cricketers, who made India proud on many occasions. Right after Mann’s inglorious statement, Kohli scored his 44th century in a One-Day International Match against Bangladesh, which turned out to be a befitting response to Mann’s fake assertion”, Said Bajwa.

LoP said that AAP was badly knocked out by the Congress in the Himachal Pradesh assembly election while in Gujarat it managed to win only five seats even after the entire cabinet of the AAP-led Punjab government had camped in Gujarat. Meanwhile, in an attempt to divert attention from such a humiliating debacle, AAP was rejoicing unabashedly in being a ‘National Party’.

In a statement on an RPG attack at the Sarhali police station in Tarn Taran, Bajwa strongly condemned the AAP’s laxity in the deteriorated law and order situation in Punjab.

“This was the second RPG attack since the AAP formed the government. Organised crime in the state has already reached its peak. CM Mann cannot run away from his responsibilities. Such a casual attitude AAP government toward law order will not be tolerated any longer”, LoP added.

On the unavailability of the Covishield vaccine, Bajwa said that Punjab Health Minister, Chetan Singh Jouramajra must pay attention to the state’s affairs instead of attending the World Ayurveda Congress held at Goa. He must ensure that the people of Punjab get the booster dose.
