Bihar’s Buxar DM Aman Samir said on Tuesday that the narrative that dead bodies are being immersed in Ganga due to lack of wood for cremation or financial issues is not true.

This comes after at least 15 bodies of suspected COVID-19 victims were seen floating in Ganga in the city on Monday. “We’ll respectfully cremate these bodies,” he added.
