The Foundation of Indian-Americans–New England planned its fifth International India Day Parade at Christopher Columbus Park in Boston as part of celebrations marking India’s 79th Independence Day.
The programme was scheduled to feature 15 floats, cultural performances, a ceremonial flag-hoisting and participation from Indian-American organizations, veterans and first responders. Organizers selected “Festival of Freedom and US–India Friendship” as the theme.
The public celebration was designed to recognize the cultural and civic contributions of Indian Americans across New England while strengthening connections between the diaspora and India.
The programme information was released before the event. Independently verified attendance figures or a detailed post-event report were not available at the time of publication
