Indian diplomatic missions have invited members of the overseas Indian community to participate in the 2026 edition of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.
Participants may display the Indian national flag and upload a photograph through the campaign’s official online portal. This year’s programme is also connected with commemorations marking 150 years of Vande Mataram.
Indian missions describe the initiative as a way for diaspora communities to participate in Independence Day celebrations and maintain cultural ties with India.
Participation is voluntary. The campaign does not introduce any new passport, visa, OCI, taxation or other legal requirement for NRIs and overseas Indians
