Ludhiana, May 17: A meeting of Chairman’s of boards related to industry was held here today, in which the decisions taken by Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh during the lockdown/curfew were appreciated.
This meeting was attended by Mr KK Bawa, Chairman, Punjab State Industrial Development Corporation (PSIDC), Mr Pawan Dewan, Chairman, Punjab Large Industries Development Board (PLIDB) and Mr Gurpreet Singh Gogi, Chairman, Punjab Small Industries and Export Corporation ( PSIEC).
They said that the procurement of wheat, start of industries in mixed land use and other areas, has proved beneficial for both farmers as well as the labourers. They said that Capt Amarinder Singh excelled in performing the duty given by Mrs Sonia Gandhi for sending the migrants to their home states.
They said that the package of Rs 20 lakh crore announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a mere “jumla” for which he is known globally, that has rubbed salt to the wounds of workers and industrialists. They said that instead of helping the labourers financially, the Union government is merely issuing statements and is not paying any heed towards the accidents taking place on railway tracks and roads.
They said that the Prime Minister has “gifted” Rs 68,000 crore to his select industrialist friends, and instead he should have helped the farmers.
They also took strong notice of the fact that some officials of the District Administration are ignoring the Chairman’s and said that they would bring this matter to the notice of the Chief Minister.
