Patiala: N.S.S Unit, Red Ribbon Club and Legal Literacy Club of Mata Sahib Kaur Khalsa Girls College of Education organized an extension talk on Constitution Day in collaboration with & District Legal Services Authority. Advocate Bimal Kumar Rai was the Chief Guest and Dr. G. S. Anand ( Former Regional Director NIS, Patiala) was the Guest of Honour on this day. While welcoming the Guests, College Principal Dr. Harmeet Kaur Anand said that the aim of celebrating constitution day is to give the basic information about constitution to all who have to play an important role in the development of the country. She also informed the students about Dr. B.R Ambedkar, the founder of our constitution.
While addressing the students Chief Guest Advocate Rai informed the students about the free legal services given by the government. He also delineated all the categories of people which are entitled for these legal services. While addressing the students Guest of Honour Dr. Anand congratulated everyone for celebrating this day. He further informed the students in detail about the constitution and its working. Afterwards Advocate Mandeep Verma, S. Jaswant Singh Kauli, Advocate T.S. Bhambra also shared their wisdom words with the students.The students also presented their views in form of speech & slogans. On this occasion prizes were distributed to the winners of slogan writing competition by the Legal Services Authority,Patiala . The programme came to an end with National Anthem. The dignitaries who graced the ocassion were Prof. J.K. Miglani (Advisor, Health Awareness Society) Mr. Reetinder Singh (Health Advisor), Prince Madan (PLV), Advocate Mandeep Verma and S. Inder Singh J.E (Executive Member, Health Awareness Society). In the end Prof. J.K. Miglani thanked the Guests .All the staff members were also present during this function.
